Ciertamente el repugnante veneno del escepticismo contagió a las mentes humanas en forma alarmante desde el siglo XVIII.

Antes de aquel siglo la famosa isla Nontrabada o Encubierta, situada frente a las costas de España, se hacía visible y tangible constantemente.

Before that century the famous Nontrabada or Hidden island, situated off the coasts of Spain, was constantly visible and tangible.

No hay duda de que tal isla se halla ubicada dentro de la cuarta vertical. Muchas son las anécdotas relacionadas con esa isla misteriosa.

There is no doubt that such an island is located within the fourth vertical. Many are the anecdotes related to that mysterious island.

Después del siglo XVIII la citada isla se perdió en la eternidad, nadie sabe nada sobre la misma.

En nombre de la verdad debemos decir que en síntesis, tenemos tres mentes.

A la primera podemos y debemos llamarla Mente Sensual, a la segunda la bautizaremos con el nombre de Mente Intermedia. A la tercera la llamaremos Mente Interior.

The first we can and must call Sensual Mind, the second we will baptise with the name Intermediate Mind. The third we will call Inner Mind.

Vamos ahora a estudiar cada una de estas tres Mentes por separado y en forma juiciosa.

Let us now study each of these three Minds separately and in a judicious manner.

Incuestionablemente la Mente Sensual elabora sus conceptos de contenido mediante las percepciones sensoriales externas.

Unquestionably the Sensual Mind elaborates its concepts of content through external sensory perceptions.

En estas condiciones la Mente Sensual es terriblemente grosera y materialista, no puede aceptar nada que no haya sido demostrado físicamente.

Under these conditions the Sensual Mind is terribly gross and materialistic, it cannot accept anything that has not been physically demonstrated.

Como quiera que los conceptos de contenido de la Mente Sensual tienen por fundamento los datos sensoriales externos, indubitablemente nada puede saber sobre lo real, sobre la verdad, sobre los misterios de la vida y muerte, sobre el alma y el espíritu, etc.

En la Mente Intermedia están las creencias religiosas, los dogmas inquebrantables, etc. Mente Interior es fundamental para la experiencia directa de la verdad.

Indubitablemente la Mente Interior elabora sus conceptos de contenido con los datos aportados por la conciencia superlativa del Ser.

Indubitably the Inner Mind elaborates its concepts of content with the data provided by the superlative consciousness of the Being.

Incuestionablemente la conciencia puede vivenciar y experimentar lo real. No hay duda de que la conciencia sabe de verdad.

Unquestionably the consciousness can experience and experiment the real. There is no doubt that the consciousness truly knows.

Sin embargo, para la manifestación la conciencia necesita de un mediador, de un instrumento de acción y éste en sí mismo es la Mente Interior.

However, for manifestation the consciousness needs a mediator, an instrument of action and this in itself is the Inner Mind.

La conciencia conoce directamente la realidad de cada fenómeno natural y mediante la Mente Interior puede manifestarla.

The consciousness knows directly the reality of each natural phenomenon and through the Inner Mind can manifest it.

Abrir la Mente Interior sería lo indicado a fin de salir del mundo de las dudas y de la ignorancia. Esto significa que solo abriendo la Mente Interior nace la fe auténtica en el ser humano.

Opening the Inner Mind would be the indicated thing to do in order to get out of the world of doubts and ignorance. This means that only by opening the Inner Mind is authentic faith born in the human being.

Mirada esta cuestión desde otro ángulo, diremos que el escepticismo materialista es la característica peculiar de la ignorancia. No hay duda de que los ignorantes ilustrados resultan ciento por ciento escépticos.

Looking at this question from another angle, we will say that materialistic scepticism is the peculiar characteristic of ignorance. There is no doubt that the learned ignoramuses turn out to be one hundred percent sceptics.

La fe es percepción directa de lo real; sabiduría fundamental; vivencia de eso que está más allá del cuerpo, de los afectos y de la mente.

Desafortunadamente existe siempre la tendencia general a confundir la creencia con la fe. Aunque parezca paradójico enfatizaremos lo siguiente: "EL QUE TIENE FE VERDADERA NO NECESITA CREER".

Unfortunately there is always the general tendency to confuse belief with faith. Although it may seem paradoxical we will emphasise the following: "HE WHO HAS TRUE FAITH DOES NOT NEED TO BELIEVE".

Es que la fe auténtica es sapiencia vívida, cognición exacta, experiencia directa.

It is because authentic faith is vivid sapience, exact cognition, direct experience.

Sucede que durante muchos siglos se ha confundido a la fe con la creencia y ahora cuesta mucho trabajo hacerles comprender a las gentes que la fe es sabiduría verdadera y nunca vanas creencias.

It happens that for many centuries faith has been confused with belief and now it takes a lot of work to make people understand that faith is true wisdom and never vain beliefs.

Los funcionalismos sapientes de la mente interior tienen como resortes íntimos todos esos datos formidables de la sabiduría contenida en la conciencia.

The sapient functionalisms of the inner mind have as intimate springs all those formidable data of the wisdom contained in the consciousness.

Quien ha abierto la Mente Interior recuerda sus vidas anteriores, conoce los misterios de la vida y la muerte, no por lo que haya leído o dejado de leer, no por lo que otro haya dicho o dejado de decir, no por lo que se haya creído o dejado de creer, sino por experiencia directa, vívida, terriblemente real.

He who has opened the Inner Mind remembers his previous lives, knows the mysteries of life and death, not because of what he has read or failed to read, not because of what another has said or failed to say, not because of what has been believed or failed to believe, but by direct, vivid, terribly real experience.

Esto que estamos diciendo no le gusta a la mente sensual, no puede aceptarlo porque se sale de sus dominios, nada tiene que ver con las percepciones sensoriales externas, es algo ajeno a sus conceptos de contenido, a lo que le enseñaron en la escuela, a lo que aprendió en distintos libros, etc., etc., etc.

Es evidente que los fariseos concurren a sus ritos para que se diga de ellos que son buenas personas, para aparentar ante los demás, mas nunca trabajan sobre sí mismos.

No seria posible abrir la Mente Interior sino aprendiéramos a pensar psicológicamente.

Incuestionablemente cuando alguien empieza a observarse a sí mismo es señal de que ha comenzado a pensar psicológicamente.

En tanto uno no admita la realidad de su propia Psicología y la posibilidad de cambiarla fundamentalmente, indubitablemente no siente la necesidad de la auto-observación psicológica.

Una persona así poseerá la fe absoluta. Ahora comprenderéis las palabras del Cristo cuando dijo: "Si tuvieseis fe como un grano de mostaza moveríais montañas".
